Lunch in the Loft with Jennifer Haupt and Anna Quinn June 22,12 noon
Join for lunch with two fabulous Seattle-area debut authors, Jennifer Haupt and Anna Quinn. Their novels are very different one from the other, but both have memorable characters - and both are terrific.
Jennifer has been a journalist for more than 25 years, writing primarily about women prompted by their own depression and grief to reach out and help others to heal. She went to Rwanda in 2006 as a journalist, a decade after the genocide that wiped out over a million people, to explore the connections between forgiveness and grief and spent a month interviewing genocide survivors. The core theme of In the Shadow of 10,000 Hills is Amahoro - which means peace but much, much more
Anna Quinn is a writer, teacher, and the owner of The Writers’ Workshoppe and Imprint Bookstore in Port Townsend, WA. She has thirty years of experience teaching and leading writing workshops. The Night Child is Anna's first novel which examines the impact of traumatic childhood experiences and the fragile line between past and present.
After lunch you'll have the opportunity to buy either book at a 10% discount - or both books at a 15% discount.
